About this work

The whole front row in one red silhouette: the Sears Tower's twin antennas, Marina City's corncobs, the Hancock with its braces on the outside, the fountain and the Bean down at the water's edge, and one small sailboat out on the lake. Blue lines radiate from every tower like sound, and the lake itself ripples into the word CHICAGO.

This is the skyline that invented the skyscraper. The first one went up here in 1885, the Sears Tower was the tallest building on Earth from 1974 to 1998, and the front row along the lake is still the best argument for looking up.

All prints are presented on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Giclée paper. Frames are solid wood from sustainable sources, manufactured to high standards.
