Fifty-nine feet of steel flag, and the cars that drive under it every day.
On Division Street the Puerto Rican flag is not cloth. Two of them, each 59 feet tall and made of steel, have arched over the road since 1995, marking the two ends of Paseo Boricua. This print takes one and lets it fly: the red stripes stream off the mast and ripple clear across the page, and three red cars roll underneath with little flags on their hoods, the way they do on parade weekend.
The lettering at the bottom is built from the same stripes: the flag folding itself into the word HUMBOLDT.
