About this work

Marina City's twin towers, reduced to what makes them Marina City: the scalloped balconies, stacked floor on floor, two columns of them side by side with the city's name across the top. Pink petals, blue cores, a cream sky, and nothing else.

Bertrand Goldberg finished the corncobs in 1964 on the north bank of the river at State Street, a city within a city with a marina at its feet. The first nineteen floors are a parking ramp that spirals up inside the petals, and at 587 feet they were the tallest residential buildings in the world when they opened.

All prints are presented on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Giclée paper. Frames are solid wood from sustainable sources, manufactured to high standards.
